My son Evan and I just moved to FW, and have been looking for good places to eat. When I read your blog about Kincaid, we had to go try a burger ourselves. They are delicious, the best burger I've ever had! You might think i'm exaggerating, but its really that good. I also loved the atmosphere and their service was great. I've heard of Kincaid's Hamburger for a long time so my wife and I tried the Grapevine location 7/09/10. I have never been so disappointed in any meal. The meat was dry without any seasoning. The bun was soggy and fell apart when eating. I was expecting a good old fashioned hamburger. I think a Whataburger is much better.

I think when it comes to Kincaid's, you HAVE to go to the Camp Bowie location to get the great burger that continuously wins awards. The new locations don't have the same 'flavor' the original does. Maybe it's because the cooks at the original are the same and maintain the original methods, even though Mr. Kincaid passed a while back.

Just had a Kincaid's cheeseburger for the first time since the 1980's. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. I went to the new location in Weatherford. To the folks that think the price is high, they obviously haven't eaten out in a long while. The McDonalds Angus burger costs more than Kincaid's. Yesterday I went to the Heritage Trace location. This was my first time to any of the Kincad's locations. It did not live up to the hype. The hamburger was average,somewhat on the dry side with little flavor.With a couple of sides the bill was $10.00. That is pretty steep for an average hamburger.

It is behind the Penny's and the burgers are great.

Kincaids is simply of those places where you mouth waters on the drive over there. Frankly, this is the best burger I have ever eaten! They are building one in my town, Weatherford (20 miles west of Fort Worth) and I can't wait! Kincaids is a must for any burger enthusiast.

I was searching for Jim's before I found out that it was closed and discovered that there is a little gas station on Division St called Speed Mart nearby Jim's old location that seems to have resurrected that old Jims memory. The menu has a speciality "Ron" burger at "Chin's Kitchen." Not sure what the history of that is, but the burger is very flavorfulis definitely worth a try.

Kincaids is good, but Herd's in Jacksboro is great! Texas Burger Guy, you've got to try it. They're open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:30 - 4:00. It's about two blocks north of the courthouse on 281/114. It's on the left. If you get to the Green Frog, you've gone too far.

Kincaid's is good, alright, but there are far better alternatives.

If you want a GREAT burger, slide out to Jacksboro and grab one at Herd's. Claude doesn't offer anything but burgers, chips and a soda.

His place is truly a mom and pop shop. In fact, he doesn't even have a phone and only takes cash.

You won't be disappointed.
